This week we began a new sermon series titled Cradle to Cross to Crown. Over the next many weeks we’ll be looking at the steps of Jesus as he goes from humble beginnings to terrifying ends to earn our glorious crown.
This message revolves around the events of the 8th day of Christmas, Jesus’ naming and circumcision. As we dive into the text from Luke 2:21-40, we take a moment to consider the weight of these events. Listen as Pastor Derrick shares the importance of the naming and circumcision of Jesus. - Covenant is a formal agreement sealed in blood of two parties.
- God provided a new name.
- God shed blood through innocent animals.

On the ninth day of Christmas we celebrate a gift that has a couple of different thoughts behind it. Some say that this day is a celebration of the nine classes of angels. While this is possible, I believe there is a little better way to approach this one. A more widely accepted meaning of these nine ladies dancing is the gift of the 9 Fruits of the Spirit.
