Tell Me

I hate being a failure. I hate it when things don’t go the way I have planned in my head. I’m one of those type-A kind of people. We look ahead so far and see things coming often before they actually occur. I’m not psychic by any means. Just part of how God built me. But sometimes when a person like this fails to see something coming, or when the circumstances change, and we fail at something its way to easy to feel like a failure.  Continue reading

Love Can…Make A Difference

Just knowing that someone is there for you is a huge help! It’s easy to let loneliness turn into the feeling that we’re completely alone. But when we realize the power of God’s love for us we soon realize that no matter how lonely we feel, we’re never really alone.

Come To The Table

Have you ever felt like you just didn’t belong? Maybe like an outsider? Perhaps you were in the middle of a crowd of people and you still felt all alone. Love Can…Free Us

It’s all too easy to look backward. It’s easy to get trapped in this silly cycle of what happened before. Steady Me

Life has a tendency to throw us into a tailspin at times. We get so overrun with emotions that we can’t even find center again. Our calendars fill to the point that we don’t even have an extra minute to our day. Demands of life pull us in a million different directions. Our job isn’t exactly what we thought it was going to be. We have to work with people we want to love but who just seem unloveable.  Continue reading

What the Bible Doesn’t Say

This week we wrap up our series titled what the bible doesn’t say with a popularly misunderstood statement in the bible. So many of us hear these words but don’t really listen to what they’re really saying. Does God give us more than we can handle? Yes! He absolutely does and on a regular basis! Listen as Pastor Derrick shares how we regularly miss the point of a familiar bible passage.

What The Bible Doesn’t Say

It’s all too easy to hear one of those really good statements and then attribute it to the Bible. I think we’ve all done it at least once. It’s easy especially when the saying sounds a lot like something Jesus would actually say. This week we talk about judging. What exactly does the bible say about judging others? Listen as Pastor Derrick sheds a little light on judgment.
