Perfect Love Pursues

Have you ever loved someone who didn’t love you back the same way? Maybe it was that cute girl in High School or that guy you just got all starry eyed about. You loved them but didn’t know how to show or even say it. So you kept it inside waiting for them to make the first move. But it never happened. You loved but felt like you were invisible or worse yet rejected. Not much consolation but you’re not alone in this feeling!

Light It Up!

One of my favorite bible verses comes from one of the most intimidating books of the bible, Revelation. In this book, John writes his view of the end of the world from heaven’s perspective. It’s a wonderful book filled with rich imagery, meaningful promises and some fairly terrifying examples. Nestled in this book are seven letters written to seven churches throughout the region of Asia minor. But these letters aren’t just for these churches. What Does The Devil Really Want?

I’ve always loved looking at the book of Psalms. It’s filled with real, honest and at times gut-wrenching thoughts poured out of a broken heart. We all too often paint a rosy picture of followers of Jesus having it all together and not facing struggles in life. Or if we do see them struggle we assume they have some super human force that allows them to easily conquer their troubles. But what if that’s exactly what we’re supposed to think? What if we’re supposed to think that a good follower of God will be able to leap small buildings with a single jump? Continue reading
