Now perhaps this should have been last week’s post and maybe things are a bit out of order here. The past couple of weeks I’ve been reminded of a pretty important part of messing with clay. Before the work really gets started and before the lifeless lump of clay can begin to look like something it needs to be softened. But how does a potter soften the clay? Continue reading
On Saturday, January 21, 2017, millions of women gathered around the country to march for something that was meaningful to them. They marched, shoulder to shoulder they stood for a common cause. They stood for those who couldn’t stand. They spoke for those they felt didn’t have a voice. They marched with varying purpose yet as a single group. They were undivided even by their great diversity. If they can do it, why don’t we? Continue reading
There is only one name that will really make a difference. You could try to use any other name you’d like but all of them will end up failing you at some point. Today I’d like to tell you his story. Continue reading

Last week we started to talk about clay and a potter’s wheel. We looked at the importance of getting off to a right start by ensuring the clay is in the center of the wheel. When the clay is off-center, well things don’t turn out as planned, but you can read more about that here. This week we’re going to look at how the work gets done, and it has nothing to do with the lump of clay! It’s all about the potter’s hands. Continue reading

A couple of realities are worth discussing this morning. First the devil is real. You may or may not believe it but it’s true. The devil in the bible has been described as the father of lies. The whole purpose of the devil is to lead you to believe something that just isn’t quite true. Parts of it may sound appealing but I can assure you that if it comes from the devil – it’s a lie. Today we start a new series on the site. Each Thursday we’ll have the chance to throw back to Sunday’s message with a quick summary. This week our theme was New Year Blessings and we focused on
